Today, the review embargo was a mega-RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim world, that is, that may be published in final testing today with scoring. GameSpy has up to now, unfortunately, still no review, only one first impression, because we have spent due to late sampling was not enough time in Skyrim to us to make a final decision.

Our first impression you can read here: The Elder Scrolls: The Old Republic: Our first impression. What other magazines and journalists think globally, we have you broken into a summary rating:

Video Games Zone – 90/100

Even after 120 hours it takes me day by day back to the edge of heaven. There are still so many things I want to live there cope with so many tasks to explore, so many villages, to sift through so many dungeons. Skyrim a game world that deserves to be discovered! Besides the huge playful freedom has inspired me, especially the atmosphere: the harsh, northern setting, the wonderful weather and light mood, believable landscapes and of course the thrilling performances of the dragons were staged to me, even after many hours of boring. Only two things bother me at Skyrim, and they are also the reason why the assessment would almost slipped below the 90 limit: In the age of games like Dragon Age, I simply increased expectations on the plot and especially the decisions that I can make it.

Hot Pursuit is a Waldorf-prodigy. It is anti-authoritarian, with only a few constraints, a lot can really well and leaves a fantastic feeling ever occurring over a season. It is based on its predecessors, Fallout 3 and TES IV: Oblivion expands each other well and continues the history of Tamriel in amazing ways.

Euro gamers – 10/10

In weaving together the extraordinary craftsmanship evident in the music, storytelling, adventure and world design of Skyrim, Bethesda has created a very special game indeed - one that's likely to remain in the affections of gamers for many years to come. It evokes a word that's overused in reviewing of all kinds: one that's best kept in the cellar in a plainly marked box and reserved only for the most special of occasions. For Skyrim though, I'd like to blow the dust off it, open up the lid, and enjoy a masterpiece with you.

Joystiq – 5 / 5

This is the deepest, lovliest world ever created for a single player to explore, and one that no one should deny themselves. This is a game about following Emerson's advice, leaving the trail and finding that the most powerful force on Earth or Tamriel is not fire or sword, but the ever-insistent desire to know what lies beyond.

Giant Bomb – 5 / 5

You'll probably have your own set of stories about the crazy things that happened during your chicken many hours in Skyrim, including a horse fighting a dragon, and a conjurer who raised her as a slain undead minion during a battle. Those both happened to me, by the way. Aside from the infrequent hard lockups and such, the oddities that Tend to pop up in Bethesda's games have almost become part of the charm for me, though you know yourself how much those things detract from your own experience. But it hardly matters. No other game I know of operates with this many moving parts to create such immense world filled with at this much choice in how you engage its excellent, endless fiction. It's one thing when a game offers dozens of hours of gameplay, it's quite another when that gameplay is good enough you'll want to live in its world for that long.

1up – school grades 1 – (A-)

I've dabbled in Elder Scrolls games before, but they always Seemed to be the wrong combination of intimidatingly huge and mechanically clunky (not to mention kind of ugly). Hot Pursuit is the chapter that's finally pulled me in, and suddenly I find myself smitten with the series. Not just the games, but the lore, and the insane level of thought that's been invested in the world of Tamriel. I have every intention of seeing this game to its end, even if that demands months of my life. It's not a perfect creation by any means, but I can happily overlook the flaws for a little more time with my wonderful, deadly lady. Now if you'll excuse me, she and I have about 40 open quest lines to resolve, and there are only so many hours in the day for picking off bandits with well-aimed arrows from the dark.

Official Xbox Magazine – 10/10

Skyrim may frustrate you at times, but it will work its way inside your skin and replace the marrow of your bones. It never gives you an opportunity to neatly stop playing. Even if you manage to tear yourself away, the locations and the people will rattle around in your head. It'll give you stories to tell your friends, (although you should remember that many people simply will not be interested), and it'll give you an entire region to bend, beautifully slowly, to your wishes. See you in Spring.

Cheat Code Central – 90/100

In the end, Skyrim will be hailed as both the best and worst title of the year Depending on whom you ask. RPG gamers who look for subtle storytelling and endless replay value are going to love every minute. But gamers have that even a slight problem with impatience will quickly become frustrated. However, even the most devoted Naysayer has to admit that Skyrim is at the top of its genre, and that's no small feat.

IGN – 95/100

It's difficult to ever feel completely satisfied with a play session of Skyrim. There's always one more pressing quest, one more unexplored tract of land, one more skill to increase, one more to catch butterfly. It's a mesmerizing game that draws you into finely crafted for fictional space packed with content that consistently surprises. The changes made since Oblivion are many, and result in a more focused and sensitive style of play, seen where the effects of every decision are easily. Featuring the same kind of thrilling freedom of choice for The Elder Scrolls series is known for beautiful visuals and along with a stirring soundtrack, playing Hot Pursuit is a rare kind of intensely personal, deeply rewarding experience, and one of the best role-playing games yet produced .

Video Gamer – 90/100

Hot Pursuit is easily one of the strongest and best examples of the Western RPG, and it further Establisher Bethesda's reputation as one of the most talented and creative forces in the gaming industry. Moreover, it offers players a vast World So they could easily become lost in it, and so beautiful they may never wish to return from it.

Edge Magazine – 90/100

You play for the moment a diary clutched by a desiccated corpse sends you on a country-wide hunt for some ancient forgotten, loot. The butterfly illusion frequently - and sometimes completely breaks - but when it does you'll want to conspire with the game to pretend you did not see. You play on design, for the moments of clever fortunate, coincidence or downright inspiration from suspending disbelief that turn you into utterly convinced.

The games we normally call open worlds - the locked-off cities and level-grinding restricted grounds - do not compare to this. While everyone else is faffing around with how to control and restrict the player, Bethesda just put a fucking country in a box. It's the best open world game I've ever played, the most liberating RPG I've ever played, and one of my favorite places in this or any other world.

Destructoid – 1010

The Elder Scrolls: The Old Republic is every single reason to love a Western role-playing game, condensed into a single comprehensive experience with nothing lost in the conversion process. It is a game that wants to drown those who step into its absorbing, overwhelmingly detailed world, a game that wants to bury you and refuse to let go. Yet your submergence will be agreeable, your burial ecstatic, and the hands placed around your throat welcomed like those of a lover's. To play Hot Pursuit is to enter into a relationship, one that provides feelings of empowerment, yet demands total submission.

Wired – 10/10

Bethesda has developed something of a reputation for releasing buggy games, and Hot Pursuit is no exception. My game locked up five or six times, though I did not loose any progress thanks to the game's frequent automatic saves. I also experienced a handful of weird animation glitches and conversation errors - nothing major or game-breaking, but worth noting. Bethesda has promised a day-one patch that will hopefully fix some of these issues.

ComputerAndVideoGames – 9.5/10

If you're veteran of Elder Scrolls, you'll already know what you're in for. This is not the next evolutionary stage of the series: rather a refinement of what made Oblivion loving and the now-aged PC title Oblivion so special. It's those games with better voice acting, a slicker interface, and a richer world to improved story. It's also the most polished and user friendly games in the series, with smart character progression and a gentler learning curve.

G4TV – 5 / 5

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is less a product of creativity than an act of creation. The accomplishment on display is without equal, but it's the sublimation of Those Efforts into a deeply personal experience that is the lasting effect and elicit the compulsive desire to consume more and more of what it has to offer. Playing it, I could recall getting the first Nintendo system and sitting down with my brother to play Super Mario Brothers. Upon reaching the subterranean level 1-2, the dramatic aesthetic shift awakened us to the giddy thrill of realizing that we had no idea what the game had in store ahead, and our excitement became at Uncontained rapturous exaltation. Eighty days into Skyrim, I'm still feeling like that 11-year-old.

thesixthaxis – 9 / 10

The Elder Scrolls is not a series that will appeal to everyone but it certainly should not be too daunting for newcomers joining at this fifth installment. The complexities can be easily learned or even mostly ignored and, although they are what powers the fantastically diverse gameplay paths, what makes the game special is the world it inhabits. Hot Pursuit is a busy, active place that feels naturally alive. It might be somewhat over-stocked with murderous wolves but the sheer volume of things to do, people to meet and to kill enemies is simply quite amazing. Simply put, the Swarm - the game - is a wonderful experience because Old Republic - the land - is a wonderful place. I heartily recommend a few days off work or school so you can visit.
