The PS to PSP Vita is known to be backward compatible, but only for downloads, as the new handheld has no UMD drive. Sony will allow us to some whites, however, to broadcast the games for a small fee, more or less.

The program is called PSP Passport and was first confirmed for Japan only. Owner of the UMD games can it on a discounted version to access their PSN title. Prices will probably be 5 to 15 euros, if the program comes to us. So far, about 200 games are supported.

And so it goes:

First With the PSP must have a UMD registration application from PlayStation Store to download.
Second The program must be started, the desired game UMD into the drive and registered in the system.
Third Follow the onscreen instructions to UMD with the PSN account to register.
4th Downloadable version of the game at a reduced price from the PSN download.
