Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 9.3 million on sales RELEASETAG

What was not expected, breaking the new offshoot of the Call of Duty series once again the record of the “sales on release day”

All 9.3 million copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, according to VGChartz changed hands. This beats the previous top Call of Duty: Modern Warfare by 33%. Compared with the direct predecessor Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are even 55%.

This spread of the sale as follows:

54% of Xbox 360
42% of Playstation 3
4% PC and Wii

75% of sales are in the U.S. and Großritannien. It is estimated that in the first weeks 12 to 13.5 million sales can be generated.
