Forum trolls will have on Battlefield 3 and Origin no good cards because, as reported, were already blocked several players on the official forums, which was also accompanied by a blocking of Origin accounts. This means that a permanent ban on all purchased content, including a possible Battlefield 3, are gone. Even retail versions would in principle be affected if they have to be activated by Origin.
The Electronic Arts Customer Service said in a special case: “The closure of the accounts was carried out in order to protect the Electronic Arts Community.” Before the user had previously broken the forum rules several times. Electronic Arts has not commented further on the subject. Moreover, it remains questionable whether such an approach is based on legal foundations. If you believe the reports, then you buy a game for 50 € and it is eventually worthless. What is more, that was partially blocked allegedly unjustified.
Earlier this year, still one user commented negatively about Dragon Age 2, and the business practices of Electronic Arts. His forum account is locked then, just like his EA account. This meant that he could not play more Dragon Age 2. After protests EA apologized and turned his account again. At that time, a fault in the system mentioned, but apparently these cases pile up again.
